Punnarh Musiko Bhava
It is a few years old when we were working as Senior Medical Representatives in a reputed pharmaceutical company. Our work area was very large, due to which we had to travel frequently. One day during the journey, we saw a young man in the train, frustrated and upset. During the conversation, it came to know that his name is Mohit and due to the tough competition in relatively fewer seats in the general category, this time also he has missed out on some marks in OPSC Mains.
Now he was in dire need of a job to continue her studies. We liked Mohit and coincidentally there was a vacancy for Cuttack city in our company at that time, so we got him employed thereafter informing the above officers of our company.
Mohit was a very dedicated and hardworking young man. Due to some of our cooperation and some of his dedication, very soon he started being counted in the top MR. Considering his performance, his salary was increased twice this year as compared to other MRS. After a few days, he again started demanding increments based on his performance as well as giving a bike for local travel on behalf of the company. The mid-term increment was not possible, due to which we asked him to wait till the end of the year.
Now showing his true colors, he threatened to leave the job. We managed in some way and arranged a bike for his local travel, yet he kept on blackmailing us by talking to other companies every day. We had given our deposits to the market, which he had started to miss. Now his behavior and response were no longer the same. He now secretly started working for another company which was against the rules of our company.
We decided to talk to our superior and teach him a lesson. We suddenly got his salary tripled and got a car provided by the company for his local travel. For the next one month, we did not ask for any progress report from him and did not do any follow-up. He used to work one and a half days a week as per his wish and would have fun the rest of the day. In the meantime, we recruited a new MR for that area and started training him after signing a three-year agreement with him.
As the month passed, we handed over the termination letter to Mohit. By now the tales of his swindle had spread in the market. As soon as he left the job, he first talked to the companies offering the job, but no company was now ready to give him his desired salary, car for travel. Even. No company was ready to accept his conditions of working. After searching for a long time, he could not even get a job with the same salary as the salary he was getting earlier.
A few days back, he once again saw us in the train. He was reading a guide to prepare for a government job exam. Seeing him trying to read the book while turning, again reminded us of the story of Punah Musiko Bhava.
