 Tulsi plant should always be planted in the courtyard of the house.  In today's era, due to lack of space, Tulsi plant can be planted in the balcony.


Get clean every morning and give water to the Tulsi plant and do its circumambulation.


 Light a lamp of ghee under the Tulsi plant in the evening, it is auspicious.


 The lamp should not be lit in the Tulsi plant on Sunday.


 Do not offer Tulsi to Lord Ganesha, Maa Durga and Lord Shiva.


 You can plant a Tulsi plant anytime, but it is best to plant Tulsi in the month of Kartik.


 Plant basil in such a place where there is complete cleanliness.

 There are also some special rules for plucking basil leaves-


 Tulsi leaves should always be plucked in the morning.  If you have to use Tulsi, then pluck the leaves in the morning itself, because Tulsi leaves never go stale.


 Tulsi leaves should not be plucked without need, it is an insult to it.


 Take full care of cleanliness while plucking basil leaves.


 Never touch the Tulsi plant with dirty hands.
